Annual reports of Smith College's first President, L. Clark Seelye, to the Board of Trustees on noteworthy events at the College over the just concluded academic year, including enrollment, academic affairs, special lectures, resignations and new faculty appointments. Reports through the 1895/96 academic year were handwritten and are available in the College Archives; typed transcripts of these reports were created later, and it is these that have been digitized. Beginning in the 1896/97 academic year, President's Reports were published in pamphlet form. No written report was filed for 1878/79.Erratum
Due to printing errors, the cover and title page of the President's Report for 1898-99 indicate "1899-1900."
