Series Description

Correspondence and memoranda of  David B. Truman, President of MHC 1969-78, concerning a broad range of issues concerning coeducation, especially but not exclusively at MHC.  Most of the correspondence is with alumnae and officials at other colleges that were similarly engaged in a serious consideration of coeducation on their own campuses.  A small body of early correspondence covering the years 1960-64 is also included.
